Politics

Both governments of Japan and of the United States determined the new defense agreement
guidelines at the Foreign and defense ministers meeting.
They announced to expand the cooperation between the Self-Defense Forces and
US forces on a global scale, which would be an unbroken cooperation
from peacetime to emergencies.


Prime Minister Shinzo Abe met with President Obama and agreed in strengthening
the Japan-US alliance,
It was confirmed that Japan and the United States take initiative
for the early conclusion of the Treaty of Pacific Partnership negotiations.
They also agreed with the promotion of Henoko relocation of US military
Futenma Air Station in Okinawa Prefecture.


Prime Minister Abe addressed at the US Congress as the first prime minister of Japan and
expressed a keen remorse for the previous war.
In addition, he promised to achieve the establishment of security-related bill
that would allow the right of collective self-defense exercise by this summer.

Expert committee of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry approved the government proposal
that Nuclear power is 20-22% and the renewable energy is 22-24%
in the power supply component ratio in 2030.


The preliminary gross domestic product for the period from January to March in 2015
announced by the US Department of Commerce is a year-on-year 0.2% increase with annualized.
The growth rate has been significantly reduced from the previous year's increase of 2.2%.


The Bank of Japan, announced the "outlook of the economic and price situation."
